Reaching Out....!!











Extending services to the Grassroot level..
The essence of our health care delivery system.
I am happy to be a part of it, always...
Today it was an Outreach Immunisation session in my area.
We passed narrow roads among paddy fields, ladies drying hay in sun,
Village paths ruled by bullock carts and bicycles..
And reached the centre.
It was an Anganwady (Kindergarten).
Cute little kids watched us working, and a few talked with me....
Later we had tea from a village tea shop..
Long forgotten firewood stoves and walls blackened with soot...
But the tea tasted better than that I had from the cosiest restaurant in city.

A great day for me...!

    I love those immunization days,a break from OP!!And I get some kinda wicked pleasure seeing their faces change from happy to anxious to hey-i wont-cry to a loud waaaaaaaaaa !!You wont believe,some kids even use swear words when they are poked!!
