TRANSPLANTATION

Not easy it was. Leaving my hometown to a place which I had the least idea of... Really missed everything about Trivandrum. Found it too tough to adjust with the extreme hot climate, dry dusty wind and hard water from bore wells.. But had no choice because it was part of my job. And slowly I started adjusting. And before I knew, I loved this place. So much of greeneries, vast paddy fields, tall Palmyra trees, and simple, down to earth people who helped me a lot in the initial days..

Here are some pictures of my travel to Palakkad...

  1. Let all your transplantation leave your roots everywhere and bring loads of happy memories always.

Shall give a shout when I land closeby( Coimbatore) and Passby( I go to Guruvayur when ever I visit India in the recent past). Take care

No yaar the climate is not comfortable at all. this is the hottest district in kerala u know the day temp touches 40 -41 often while it remains below 35 in trivandrum. but what to do.. life...

  5. Friend, I understand that transplantation is difficult mainly due to emotional reason. But,the exposure to a new place makes life enriching. Think about one of your favorite authors O. V. Vijayan, if I'm not mistaken this is his hometown. But, his most productive years were spent in Delhi. So, take heart from that & you may find Appakilli, Ravi & others here. :)

  7. Dear Paresh,
true.. palakkad is sometimes a synonym of art and culture of kerala.. MT, OV Vijayan, VKN.. and the Nila and kalamandalam on its banks.. I am glad to be here, though for a while...!
